These totes are hand-made by women in Rwandan villages whom Rhonda met and interviewed. Rhonda selected the fabric, colors, and heart, which are all symbolic. Rhonda then brought these unique totes to the U.S.

The Handcrafted Details

  • Artisans craft these bags using panels woven from banana leaves and kitenge fabric.

  • Pop-Up Bags have a removable banana panel in the bottom, giving structure to the bag.  When removed, the bags fold flat!

  • Please note that, as a tote, the bag does not have pockets or a top closure.

  • Care: Wipe with a damp cloth.

  • Ethically crafted by a person in rural Rwanda.
